Peace
Quietly I wait in the early dawn light. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, the color begins to shift. Early Fall snow on the East slope catching first light followed by the clouds above joining in the days awakening. Orange and blue reflects above and below as morning breezes gently stir the lake as if to announce that the day is beginning but not in a hurried way.
These are the moments that are more to me than a captured image. These moments are calm in the chaos and rest from the race. This is time to think about everything or nothing at all. Time to pray, to breathe and to be present to see a moment that will never happen again the same way. It is in the quiet solitude of the morning that God often speaks the loudest.
